With this newly developed test bed, it is possible to determine the quality of suspension struts on passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles up to 2.2 t quickly and easily. The test procedure is performed without removing or changing parts on the vehicle and offers a high level of reproducibility of the measured values. Handling is easy and safe and guarantees best compatibility in the workshops.
With the aid of the noise search module it is possible to localize and isolate sources of undesired noise on the vehicle with the vehicle on the test bed. The wheel plates are excited (vibrated) with infinite variability. This means that road tests to find the noise are no longer necessary.

Design and features:
Automatic test procedure once the vehicle is driven onto the wheel plates. These are excited at 10 Hz and then gradually brought to a halt with frequency control. During this procedure, the wheel and axle weights are determined and, if necessary, transferred to the (all-wheel) rolling road or dynamometer. Simple evaluation based on the Boge principle by way of detailed graphic display of the measured values, which are specified according to the damping factor "D". For connection to an existing brake test bed VAS 6360, the suspension strut test bed is only available as a base unit in conjunction with PC hardware. The display, which is controlled via a PC or also available as an analogue unit, works with a conventional monitor linked to a control unit or is visualized via the brake test bed VAS 6360.
The result with all details about the vehicle and the dealership is available to the service advisor and the customer and can be printed out if required.
