The spring tensioning system VAS 6907 is required to remove and install springs on the rear axle of the Porsche Macan 2014>. The spring is mechanically compressed between the pressure plates VAS 6907/1 and VAS 6907/2 using a spindle VAS 6907/3 and a plunger VAS 6907/4.
Socket VAS 6907/5, T-bar wrench VAS 6907/6 and holding wrench VAS 6907/7 are used to aid the process.
The spreader tool VAS 6274/8 is placed between the upper suspension link and the body of the vehicle in order to maintain the vehicle's height when the spring is removed.
The hydraulic tensioning device VAS 6907/9 is required to preload and detension the spring in the correct position when removed.
The mechanically preloaded spring pack may only be detensioned outside the installation space using the hydraulic tensioning device VAS 6907/9.
