The hand-held multimeter V.A.G 1526E was specially developed for use in the automobile service industry.
The folding lid with integrated display enables optimal adjustment of the reading angle so that both hands are free to perform measurements when the
unit is around the neck.
A background light can be switched on to allow readings to be taken in poorly lit situations.
When the unit is folded shut, it switches off automatically. The display and the control panel are automatically protected.
Via the USB interface, the multimeter can be connected to a diagnosis tester/PC to facilitate work with relevant diagnosis software.
Features:
Measurement of effective value with alternating signals
The applied measuring procedure allows wave form independent effective valve measurement TRMS AC for voltage and currents up to 10 kHz,
i.e. the correct effective value is measured even if signals are distorted.
Automatic/manual measuring range selection
The measurement categories are selected with the rotary switch. The measuring range is adapted automatically to the measured value.
The AUTO/MAN button can also be used to adjust the measuring range manually.
Direct current measurement of all ranges via one socket: No need to swap over test leads.
The current clamp measurement is performed via a separate socket.
Automatic measured value save
The DATA function allows the digitally displayed measured value to be frozen. Using a special procedure, the system ensures that during rapid
changes of measurement category no random value is stored but the actual measured value instead.
The saved measured value appears on the digital display. The current measured value is still shown on the analogue scale.
MIN/MAX values saved
Parallel to display of the current measured value, the minimum or maximum value can be shown permanently and saved.
Diode and continuity test IK = 1 mA
This makes checking of diode polarity possible as well as checking for short circuits and open circuits in electrical systems.
The test voltage source enables measurements of LEDs and Z-diodes up to 5.1 V. In the continuity test, an additional acoustic
signal is given for resistance values in a range from 0 to 10 W.
Frequency and pulse duty factor measurement of 5V square wave signals
This function enables circuits and transmission paths to be checked by frequency and pulse duty measurements with an amplitude
between 2 and 5 V and a frequency between 100 Hz and 1 MHz.
Temperature measurement
With the temperature sensors V.A.G 1526B/1 and V.A.G 1526D/1 available as an accessory, it is very simple to check the relevant
temperatures on the vehicle.
USB interface
The multimeter V.A.G 1526E is fitted as standard with a USB connection. This means that simple connection can be made directly to a diagnosis tester/PC.
The respective diagnosis software is being developed.
Measuring function mV
To diagnose vehicles with discharged battery from increased residual current, the mV function can be used to measure voltage drop
at the fuses, for example, and thereby determine the cause of the fault.
Battery charge status - Current saving mode
The battery charge status is displayed via a four-stage symbol. The unit switches itself off if the measured value remains unchanged for 10 minutes
and no controls were operated during this time. This shutoff feature can be deactivated by changing to permanent operation.
Trip switches and fuse detection for all current ranges
User-friendly with resettable trip switches. Fuse detection: The FUSE display indicates if a trip switch has been triggered. The fuse only isolates the current measuring ranges. All other ranges remain operational.
