Adapter VAS 5571 is required in conjunction with vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051A/B as well as hand multimeters V.A.G 1526 for simple, fast and safe pick-up of various electrical/electronic signals from components, such as Hall sender on camshaft, solenoid valve for variable valve timing, fuel tank breather valve on Passat, Audi Q7, Touareg etc.
The connectors are decoded and can therefore be used for a wide range of 2 and 3-pin connectors. Use of the adapter is described in the relevant workshop manual.
