The repair set serves as a means of marking the holes on new parts where flow drill sockets (FDS) are used.
Using the VAS 6631/2 - Flow Drill Screw Repair Set - Hole Finder it is possible to transfer the FDS bolt hole positions to aluminum vehicles from the old vehicle in the event of repair. The old FDS bolts are first loosened with the aid of the Flow Drill Screw socket. The damaged panel is then removed.
The hole finders are now screwed into the existing holes of the aluminum panel with the aid of ring spanner VAS 6631/1 (which is supplied). The new aluminum panel is fitted to the vehicle and secured with crimp clamps. With soft blows of the rubber hammer, the holes from the existing panel are transferred to the replacement part with the aid of the hole finders. The replacement part is now marked with the hole positions and is removed. Holes are predrilled at these points. It is then possible to secure the new part to the body with flow drill screws using the correct socket.
