Only a few of the OBD vehicles of the competition have the 16 pin OBD socket designed in accordance with ISO standards. Each member has the freedom to configure the other pins as required. In order to guarantee trouble-free communication on these vehicles for emissions testing and to allow use of the scan-tool function, the adapter VAS5052/16 is required for other makes of vehicles.
