The setting device VAS 6430/1 serves as a conversion kit for existing ADC setting devices VAS 6041 and ACC setting devices VAS 6190. The conversion kit allows adaption of the calibration board for lane guard system VAS 6430/4.
At the same time, the setting device VAS 6430/1 serves as a basic set for calibration of VW vehicles with the ACC laser unit VAS 6430/2 or for the calibration of Audi vehicles with ACC reflector mirror VAS 6430/3.
The ACC laser unit VAS 6430/2 and the ACC reflector mirror VAS 6430/3 must be ordered separately.
The setting device VAS 6430/1 is aligned to the geometrical driving axis with the wheel alignment systems approved by VOLKSWAGEN AG.
The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is an extension of the conventional cruise control system (CCS). The CCS regulates the speed of the vehicle to a setting entered by the driver.
The ACC system implements this convenience function in the same way, with the added feature of adapting the speed to that of the vehicle traveling directly ahead if it is moving slower. A radar head regulates the distance to the vehicle traveling ahead in conjunction with electronic control systems and by measuring the distance and relative speed.
